New Features of  Nakivo Backup & Replication v9.4

Backup to Amazon S3

With Nakivo Backup & Replication v9.4, you can send backups or backup copies to Amazon S3 to take advantage of Amazon’s affordable, scalable cloud storage service. You can also send backup copies from Amazon S3 to a local disk or to tape.

Use the advanced scheduling options to run incremental, application-aware backups while avoiding job overlaps and network congestion. Run full or granular recoveries to restore exactly what you need, from full machines down to individual files and application objects.

Instant P2V

Restore physical servers and workstations as virtual machines running on a VMware hypervisor directly from backup files to get operations up and running quickly after a planned or unplanned disruption.

You can also use Instant P2V to simplify server virtualization and cloud migrations when phasing out legacy hardware or lowering hardware footprint. The Instant P2V feature supports backups of Windows-based and Linux-based physical servers and workstations.

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Assign users specific roles for each part of the backup and recovery process in NAKIVO Backup & Replication. Improve the security of your data protection operations by ensuring only authorized and authenticated users can run, view and edit jobs.

Delegate tasks between administrators to increase efficiency and reduce bottlenecks. Use preset roles for quick deployment or create custom roles tailored to your operations.

Instant Object Recovery to Source for Microsoft Exchange

Granular recovery for Microsoft Exchange has also been expanded to allow you to instantly restore full databases, mailbox folders and messages, contacts or calendars without a full recovery.

Search and browse Microsoft Exchange backups and restore individual objects to the original location, a custom location, a local folder or a CIFS folder.

Instant Object Recovery to Source for Microsoft Active Directory

Nakivo Backup & Replication v9.4 brings more flexibility to restoring deleted Active Directory objects without performing a full recovery. Search and browse Active Directory backups to find specific objects and restore them to the original location or export them to local or CIFS folders.

Fault-Tolerant VMware VM Backup

With v9.4, NAKIVO Backup & Replication supports fault-tolerant VMware VMs. VMware’s fault-tolerance technology creates a lock-stepped replica of a VM and maintains the primary and “shadow” VM in sync.

If the primary VM goes down, the VM automatically fails over to the replica to eliminate interruptions. Now you can add another layer of resiliency by backing up these fault-tolerant VMware VMs with v9.4.

Nakivo Backup & Replication v9.4 is released with lot of new features and innovations in simplifying the backup operations.
