This post for the admins who really looking for free tools for VMware Performance Monitoring.One of the great free performance monitoring tools for ESX,ESXi and hyper-v server is “Solarwinds VM Monitor”. Simple to use and very easy to install with lite touch. VM Monitor deisplays the neat representation of  real time monitoring of resource utilization for ESX and virtual machines. SolarWinds free VM Monitor is an excellent free desktop tool that continuously monitors a VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V host and its associated virtual machines. Many scenarios you may need to monitor the workload of Virtual machine when you run a load test for applications running at the virtual machines. Solarwinds Free VM Monitor helps to take a look at real-time utilization of virtual machine and hypervisor without cracking your head to understand the graphs from vCenter or OS performance monitoring application or from application performance monitoring tools.

Installation Steps:

Go to Solarwinds Official website to download ” Solarwinds VM Monitor”  and download the software.

Double click on “SolarWinds-VM-Monitor-v1.1.exe” to start the installation

Click on Run.Follow the screen instructions and click on Next .

Accept the license agreement and click on Next.

If you want to change the default installation folder, Click on browse and mention the folder path.

Click on Install to start the installation.

Click on Finish to complete the installation.
